The recent phenomenon of raining every weekend continues, as it rained like crazy throughout Sunday. Not exactly the way I wanted to kick off this year’s wedding season. Which this year’s honors go to Pia and Lars, who also happen to be the two most optimistic people I ever met because they had nothing but smiles and laughs. They handled the situation like it was a light drizzle, which it was not, it was cats and dogs type of rain.
Of course, plans were all changed to accommodate the weather, unfortunate for me because I was planning on putting my new Nikon D800 to good use by taking a large segment of my lighting gear to take some amazing formals. The wedding had it all, a horse drawn carriage, an amazing site, traditional red & gold Indian dress, and a beautiful bride. Because the rain never let up, we never got the formal photos in, forcing me to go purely “photojournalistic style”.
They say rain in a wedding is good luck, then Pia and Lars have received the greatest blessing. All in all, it was a great day and I had the pleasure of working with Raechel for the first time. She was great to work with and I look forward to seeing her work. #gallery-8 { margin: auto; } #gallery-8 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-8 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-8 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
